CalSHRM2013 has ended

As HR professionals, we all know the challenges associated with our rapidly changing state employment laws. The California State Legislative Conference is designed to keep you informed about the latest legislative issues pending at both the state and federal levels. In addition, you and other participants will have the rare opportunity to visit with state legislators to let them know how pending workplace legislation affects employees in our state.

Learn how legislative changes can affect your organization, and what you can do to be part of that change.

10-Second Bio:

Title: Human Resources Consultant

Department/Unit: UC Systemwide HR Policy

How long I’ve been with UCOP: July 2004

What I do for OP in five words or less: HR guidance, planning, and process

The best part about working for OP: As an HR Consultant, drawing from my extensive workforce history to provide comprehensive human resources support to all University locations in reviewing all options (there are always options) to address a myriad of issues that challenge our diverse communities systemwide.

Something you don’t know about me: I love all things about the written word, from acquiring first printings of quality books and attending author readings, to reading many a newspaper and magazine yet not putting my own pen to paper often enough to tackle my own writing goals.
